Pixoot quests, bounties and rewards

Pixoot pays gold, XP and skill points for killing things on request. Twelve quests are hand-written, a generator keeps the board stocked once they are gone, and 36 boss bounties sit on top. Every quest, gate and payout is below.

Three kinds of quest

One-time quests are hand-written and finished forever once claimed: a three-quest starter chain that accepts itself, plus nine board quests gated on lands and levels — twelve in all. Repeatable quests are generated rather than written, and only start once every one-time quest is done. Boss bounties ask you to kill one named boss two, five or ten times.

You track them in the journal — press J — and collect new work at the quest board in Haven. The cap is three active quests: the board's header reads Active: 0/3, and a fourth accept is refused with "Quest log full! Complete a quest first."

The starter chain

A fresh hunter starts with all three chain quests already accepted, and none has a gate beyond level 1: FIRST STEPS — kill 10 slimes in the Meadow for 50 gold, 20 XP; INTO THE WILD — 20 goblins in the Meadow for 80 gold, 40 XP and 1 skill point, your first; FOREST BOUND — 15 wolves in the Deep Forest for 120 gold, 60 XP. Nothing in it is random: same targets and pay on every new save.

Board quests and their level gates

The other nine wait on the board behind two locks: the land must be cleared — its boss dead, the 24-kill gate from the maps guide — and your hunter must reach the level listed. Quest text uses short names such as "Desert".

Every authored objective is a kill count or a boss kill. A visit type exists in the code but no quest uses it — no exploration quests.

Repeatable quests

Claim the twelfth one-time quest and the board rolls generated kill quests alongside any bounties you qualify for — up to five offers at a time. A name is one of ten pool words (HUNT, ERADICATION, CLEANSE, EXTERMINATION, PURGE, THINNING, RAID, CULLING, STAMPEDE, ONSLAUGHT) plus the family: HUNT Wolf, PURGE Leech.

The seed decides the rest: the family comes from a land you have already conquered, the kill count lands in 8–20, and pay scales with depth. Gold rolls 80 × scale + up to 40 × scale, XP 40 × scale + up to 20 × scale, plus 1 skill point once scale reaches 3. Scale runs from 1.0 in the Meadow to 6.0 in the Abyss. Repeatables never join the completed list — they only bump the counter that seeds your next roll — though their skill points still count as earned.

Boss bounties: 36 rewards

Twelve bosses, three tiers each: 36 bounties. Tier one wants 2 kills, tier two wants 5, tier three wants 10, and a bounty unlocks only once you have cleared that boss's land and reached its level. Only the next unfinished tier per boss is offered, so you always climb them in order.

It pays well: TROLL BOUNTY (2 Meadow Troll kills, level 3) gives 200 gold and 100 XP; ABYSSAL GODSLAYER (10 Abyss Lord kills, level 25) gives 10,000 gold, 5,000 XP and 5 skill points. Across all 36, rewards run from 200 to 10,000 gold, 100 to 5,000 XP, 0 to 5 skill points and level gates 3 to 25.

Rewards, skill points and the 3-quest cap

When an objective finishes, a GET REWARDS button appears on the card. Pressing it pays gold, XP and skill points at once, and XP that crosses a level line also earns that level's own point.

The twelve one-time quests are worth a fixed 7 skill points between them: 1 from the chain and 6 from the board, with THE ABYSS BECKONS the largest single prize at 2. Bounties and repeatables keep adding after that. The only limit is the three-quest cap, so finish or abandon something first — the × on a journal card drops an incomplete quest instantly — and keep a slot free for bounties.
