Pixoot Co-op Guide: 4-Player Rooms, Codes and Loot Rules

Co-op drops up to four hunters into one live world with the same enemies, boss, portals and map progress. This guide covers how rooms are made and joined, how the party scales, and what actually drops for whom.

One shared world, one authoritative server

Each player brings their own hero — level, skill tree, glyphs and gear all travel with you. In the room, though, there is a single world: everyone fights the same pack, the same champion and the same boss, and the map only moves forward once. The server is authoritative for damage, XP, loot, leveling and respawn, while each client predicts its own movement, so what you see locally stays smooth and what the group sees stays consistent.

Room codes and the lobby

Rooms are joined with a code. The server mints codes as 6 characters drawn from ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZ23456789 — no I, O, 0 or 1 to misread — and will accept any code between 4 and 6 characters, so a short code typed from a friend still works.

Rooms hold four hunters. Try to enter a full one and you get a straight answer: "That room is already full (4 hunters max)." Tick Public room (listed in the lobby) and your room shows up in the live lobby with its player count; leave it unticked and the room is private, reachable only by people you hand the code to.

Groups, invites and the ready check

Before there is a room there can be a group: a lobby-side party, also capped at 4 members, that can invite players, kick them and hand over leadership with a promote. The leader is the only one who can press create or join for the group, and only once every other member has checked in.

That check-in is the READY CHECK. The leader starts it, everyone else gets a READY CHECK popup with I'M READY or NOT NOW, and the window lasts 30 seconds. Answer in time and the whole party launches together; let it expire and it is simply tried again later.

Party scaling: harder, and richer

A second hunter does not make the world easier — it makes it bigger. Each extra hunter beyond the first applies these multipliers:

Per extra hunterChange
Enemy HP+35%
Enemy damage+15%
XP+25%
Loot+15%
Enemy count+4 enemies

Four hunters in a meadow are facing measurably nastier, more crowded fights — and getting paid for them in XP and gold.

Loot, chat and co-op casting

Loot is personal

Every hunter rolls their own gold, potions and gear from a kill, and only the owner can pick up their drop — nobody is out-rolled by the person standing next to them. The exception is gear a player deliberately drops on the ground: that pile is free-for-all, and any party member can walk over it.

Chat

Rooms get their own channel, groups have a separate one, and clicking a name opens a whisper for a private line between two players. Chat needs a verified email address or a Google sign-in.

That same tap on a nickname opens a name card carrying WHISPER, INVITE TO GROUP and ADD FRIEND, with block and report beside them if a player needs them. The menu's CHAT → FRIENDS subtab holds the requests you have sent and received, an online dot for each friend, and a box to add someone by nickname — so a regular group does not have to trade codes again next session.

Glyphs in co-op are visual only

Glyph casts hit the shared world: the server resolves every cast — damage, chains, drains, ground zones, summon strikes and executes — from the same glyph catalog and your glyph levels, credits you for the damage (XP and kill credit follow it), and shows everyone the same damage numbers. Self-heals, drain heals and stuns are applied server-side too, because HP and enemy control are authoritative. Your summoned companions fight for real: their swings are validated by the server the moment they land. Pair your glyphs with auto-attacks, positioning and potions — details in the glyphs guide.
